Introduction

In 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation required additional information to be provided inside a privacy notice on websites where data is collected from users. Cumbria Communications collects data from 2 sources, our contact form, and Google Analytics. This page sets out how we collect and use data and who has access to collected data.

Data Collection

By submitting data via our website you agree to us using your data for the following:

When you fill in our contact form an automatically generated email will be sent to our mailbox that includes the contact information you provide plus the message you have typed. This data will be used to contact you to discuss your requirements and to arrange meetings etc.

Google Analytics is used to collect data about how users view our website and how we can improve pages to be more informative and clear to users. Metrics such as number of hits, time on page, bounce rate are collected to give us a better understanding of how users use our website. It’s important to note that we are unable to identify individual users by their geo-location or name. Google Analytics will also use cookies to track returned visits – this can be disabled in your web browsers settings. For more information regarding Google Analytics, please see the Official Google Analytics Page.

3rd Party Access

No personal data is accessible by a third party. Google Analytics data will be shared with our website hosting partner for performance monitoring purposes only.
